FAQ

What is messy play?
Messy play is hands on sensory play using textures like foam, slime, sand, paint, water and rice.
It supports fine motor skills, creativity, confidence, and early learning, all while children explore freely. And plus, parents don’t have to set up or clean up!
What age is it suitable for?

Our sessions are designed for 8 months – 5 years.

Activities are adapted so babies can explore safely and older children stay engaged and challenged.

Do I need to stay with my child?

Yes, this is a supervised event. You stay, play, connect and enjoy the experience together.

What should my child wear?

Clothes you don't mind getting messy! Art smocks will be supplied, but this will not guarantee whatever is underneath will not get messy. So old clothes that can be easily be taken off is most ideal!

Is everything taste safe?

Most things will be taste safe and non- toxic. However, there will be some things that little's should not eat. For example, when we are making foam cakes, perhaps the shaving cream could be a miss.

But 99% of activities planned will be taste safe and non- toxic, it will only be for special occasions that some things won't be taste safe, but you will be notified.

The activities aren't intended for eating, so children must be supervised.

What happens if my child doesn't like the mess?

This is totally normal!!!

We never force participation, but children can:

  • Watch

  • Play beside you

  • Explore at their own pace

Most children warm up quickly once they feel safe.

What if we are sick?

Please don’t attend if your child is unwell.

You can cancel or reschedule with 24 hours notice. (This keeps our little community safe ❤️)

Can siblings attend?

Yes! Each child from 6 months old requires their own ticket so we can safely plan materials and space.

Is it indoors or outdoors?

Sessions may be indoor or outdoor depending on venue and weather. Details are listed on each booking page. Or if weather changes, you will be let know of venue change at least one day before.
